2010 Continued.....

In February, Katy and Lainey were in their school talent shows (see the videos in previous post), Lainey finished her first season of winter swimming with a strong showing at regionals. We have also had a lot of fun in the unusual amount of snow we've had in Cincinnati this winter.

2010 Recap

We had a busy end of 2009 with a quick trip to Utah for some skiing. We came home for Christmas and Grammy was already here waiting for us. On Christmas Eve, Katy played Mary in the church Christmas pageant and Lainey sang in the choir. After Christmas, the Kelley's came for a visit and so did Papa and Grandma Janet. The Kelley's stayed to ring in the New Year with us.

Grammy was kind enough to return to Cincinnati at the end of January to stay with the girls while Doug and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a Cererant Company meeting. We managed to squeeze in some alone time to go horseback riding and kayaking.

Lainey's 100 Freestyle Swim

Here is Lainey in a come from behind finish at her regional swim championships yesterday. You'll have to watch to see how she does. We are so proud of how hard she worked at swimming this winter!

"Walk Like an Egyptian"

6th Grade Thriller

Here are Katy and her friends performing "Thiller" in the ME 2010 Talent Show. She is the 2nd zombie to walk on the

stage. She stands in the upper left of the screen between the tall boy and the girl in the white shirt. Unfortunately,

you can not see her very well. However, they did a great job!

Here is Lainey competing in the 100 meter Individual Medley race at the Mary Lou Mini meet on Feb 14, 2010 (25 m butterfly, 25 m backstroke, 25 m breast stroke and 25 m freestyle). She took 5 seconds off her personal best for a time of 1 min 47 seconds!
